International Jazz Day Concert

Venue: Watchung Arts Center, 18 Stirling Rd, Watchung, NJ

Chris DeVito Trio John Lenis (double bass), Gavin Davies (drums) and Chris DeVito (piano) and special guest Mayuko Abe (trumpet)
The Watchung Arts Center will be hosting its first “International Jazz Day Concert” on Wednesday, April 30 at 7:00 pm.
April 30th is the final day of Jazz Appreciation Month, created in 2001 by the Smithsonian Institute's National Museum of American History.
International Jazz Day was organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization ("UNESCO") in 2011 "to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe."
This concert is registered with UNESCO as an offical International Jazz Day event.
Advance ticket purchase recommended because Chris DeVito's bands have filled both the Watchung Arts Center (Valentine's Concerts for the past 3 years) and Liberty Corner's Douglas Hall (for the past 4 Malawi Vision Jazz Fundraisers at Liberty Corner Church).
